Giant CRS 1.0 from Corrin

Presentation:

Our customer, a regular cyclist in the Toulouse area, who uses his Giant CRS 1.0 bike for velotafing, decided to experiment with electrification and chose our Syklo kit for this transformation. After a 30km trip in each direction, the battery capacity proved to be perfectly adapted to its needs.

Description of the Electrified Front Bike:

Before electrification, his bike was a Giant CRS 1.0, an ideal VTC with V-brakes, a suspension saddle and a Hollowtech Shimano bottom bracket. Its responsiveness and good road performance have made this bike an excellent candidate for electrification.

Reasons for Electrification:

Wanting to enhance their velotaf experience, our customer saw electrification as a way of optimizing their bike for their usual commute, enabling an even more enjoyable VAE trekking experience.

Choice of Syklo Kit:

To electrify his Giant bike, our customer chose our TSDZ2b Open Source Motor Kit with torque sensor, EXPERT display and 540Wh battery. This kit enabled him to benefit from precise assistance control and a long-range battery.

Kit installation:

Installation of the kit went off without a hitch. However, our customer suggests improving the installation manual to clearly identify the parts. We’d like to thank him for his constructive feedback, and look forward to adding more details to our Assembly Tutorial.

Experience After Electrification:

Since electrification, our customer has taken full advantage of pedal-assist. He appreciates the capacity of the 540Wh battery, which means he doesn’t have to ration energy consumption, while retaining a 25-35% reserve on arrival.
